Chilis, Midvalley

I was hanging out with my friends every weekend in this month, that's why i can renew my blog so often, but at the same time, the hole in my pocket is getting bigger and bigger. T.T The place I visited this time is Chilis, which is situated in Midvalley. We went there at lunch time, around 11 or 12pm. That time there are only few tables so we are able to place our orders quickly.

We had tostada chips as starters, ordered mushroom jack fajitas but fajita quesadillas was served instead, honey chipotal crispers, fire-cracker fish fillet and drinks. The chips was served fast but the others are terribly slow, not until we had our second basket of chips (did i mention it's bottomless chips) the food are finally served. Well, maybe if the chips and its sauce taste better i would feel my waiting time to be shorter. The salsa tasted too sour.

The fajita quesadillas came up instead of mushroom jack fajitas. I had mushroom jack fajitas before during my previous visit to Chilis and it was great! Yummy! so i would like to try it again but the staff served the wrong one. I can't quite understand why this happen, of course i know people make mistakes but he repeated our order and i watched him writing the correct order, so... Anyway it happened and we would not want to wait for another long time again so fajita quesadillas it is. The menu stated that there is marinated-chicken inside the tortillas but honestly, i didn't think it has any chicken pieces inside, at least i didn't taste any of it. My friends, too, did not regard it as delicious.

For the honey chipotal crispers, the chicken was a no-no. The picture showed in menu was fried crispy chicken, but from what was served, the chicken tasted somehow like those chicken meat ball . No wonder they always have to put "for illustration only" below! =.= Although the corn served along was so juicy and sweet and the sauce is nice, but still, this is not a dish i would recommend.

The last dish is fire-cracker fish fillet. From the name, i expected it to be in red sauce and is spicy but instead it was in brown sauce, and it tasted good and not spicy at all. The vegetables served along were raw carrots and raw long beans. I don't know how's others but none of us touch the long beans.

I found my previous visit was much better in the sense of food tastiness. The service was okay, when there are less tables, the staff is attentive and helpful. The bill amount was around RM 131, was quite expensive for me as i did not enjoy this lunch much. I just can say that my next visit to Chilis will not be anytime soon.

*Kind of tiring to recall bad dining experience. May update my blog only after CNY, so Happy Chinese New Year ahead.
